Do You Wish to Sponsor an Event?
First available Fall date: Oct. 8/9
Note: Right now, many prospective sponsors are hesitant to commit to a weekend until they see more clearly how their funding is surviving the current economic conditions. If this is also your situation, and you would like me to temporarily hold a date while you try to finalize funding, please contact me and I will do my best to accommodate you. Also: know that I am extremely vigilant about securing the lowest travel costs - even non-refundable airfares may be renegotiable! And, in this and the spring semester, I will be booking no more than 3 weekends in a row to maximize my energy level at those by giving myself some respite from traveling. So should you be even vaguely interested in a date, I encourage you to contact me asap to at least get on my 'pencilled-in' list.
● Unless otherwise noted: All Evenings start at 6:30 PM: Registration &
Refreshments; Gathering & Worship 6:45 PM; Program: 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
Unless otherwise noted: All Saturdays start at 8:30 AM: Registration &
Refreshments; Gathering & Worship at 8:45 AM; Program 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
See Curriculum page for topics and approximate times.
● Also, for the small group media Saturday workshop to be effective, it is crucial that each participant (not each church) brings one copy of their newsletter, welcome brochure/visitor form or packet and contact letters, and bulletin/order of worship.
● And, by using on the links in both the location and the dates sections, you may
download a brochure / registration form in Adobe PDF format.
● Adobe Notes: 1: dial-up downloading may take 2+ minutes; 2: need Adobe
Acrobat reader? click
here for Adobe and download it at your convenience; 3:
print margin problems?: in Adobe print screen, turn ‘off’ the "auto rotate and
center pages" tab; then set your printer to landscape mode.
DO YOU WISH TO SPONSOR AN EVENT?
I present events in three contexts:
■ The Standard Magnetic Church Conference: participation is always open to everyone regardless of whether the sponsor is a judicatory or an individual congregation. These events are listed below in seasonal sections: by state-alpha/dates with Adobe Acrobat downloadable registration forms; and, by date/location with full registration information.
■ A Host-specific Magnetic Church Conference: participation is restricted to the members of a single congregation, usually because the entire membership is invited and space is limited. The dates of these events are listed below only to indicate that the dates are not available to other potential sponsors.
■ Preaching and Sunday Discussion Forums for individual churches: although open to everyone, these events are geared primarily for the members of the particular congregation and therefore are not listed below.
To date, I have been engaged to present these events sponsored by
judicatories and / or congregations of these denominations in the U.S.:
The American Baptist Churches USA (ABCUSA)
The Episcopal Church (ECUSA)
The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA)
The Presbyterian Church USA (PCUSA)
The United Church of Christ (UCC)
The United Methodist Church (UMC)
and in Canada:
The Anglican Church of Canada
The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada (ELCIC)
The Presbyterian Church in Canada
The United Church of Canada
● Are you are a member of a congregation within, and / or on the staff of one of
the above listed denominations? Or are you a member / staff person of a similar
denomination which also ordains both women and men? And, would your church
welcome me to receive communion? If your answers are ‘yes’, then I believe you
would be comfortable with my approach to this ministry and would find my
program theologically and culturally appropriate for members of your own
church(es). And therefore I would be very pleased to provide an event for you.
● I invite you to investigate further by:
a. reviewing the FAQ’s and Fees page for the highlights of our mutual
responsibilities, ‘what you get’, and the fee structure;
b. reviewing my Biography and References, and;
c. checking the events listed by location or by date (sections below) if you would
like to attend one of my already scheduled events in order to personally evaluate
my ministry.
